Diving Jabberwocky

Most TNIs come to Willow on Thursdays to dive; some come to dive and eat; last night folks came just to eat. And eat we did. The menu included Tom Rockwell's homemade seafood lasagna, wings, finger sandwiches, tortellini salad, beans, corn soup, bread, lemon meringue pie and cheese cake, eggnog, and brewski. The usual suspects were there: Gerhard, Dave the scumbag lawyer, T-bones Sr. and Boneless, Roger, Dave Ho, Joya, Tom Rockwell, the always effervescent Huck, Rich Rupp, Kulpie, Bill Jeter, and special guest Frankie Pellegrino. Frankie, a NYC scuba cop and newest TNI pin holder, gets to do rescue dives and body recoveries in the "crystal clear" rivers that surround Manhattan. Yummy! With 10+ ft of viz last night, it was a walk in the park for all of us. GM christened his Meg with Terry and Frankie. Huck and I followed their silt trail to the Minnow and then to the fire truck and Quest before we went our separate ways. With the water at 43 degrees and me a bit underweighted, 47 minutes was enough for me and Huck – besides, the banquet was beckoning. Our featured guest next week will be TNI alum Jess "Cave Woman" Zellers. Stop by to say "hi" to Jess, soak your ass in the quarry, and eat good food. The New Year's Day Chilli Dive is coming up and we have it on good authority that PADI Patty will be in Central PA. The last we saw Patty, she was recovering from a near fatal episiotomy that took place while Patty was huffing helium and frolicking with Aunt Vern and GM. Patty will spend New Year's eve making friends at the Manada Hill truck stop and then make a cameo appearance at Willow's Polar Bear Plunge. Come by to dive and eat, and then have your photo taken with PADI Patty. We will have financial consultants on site to arrange convenient terms for tax deductible blackmail payments.
